Words of the spirit move through sound accompanied by light into the earthly atmosphere. They impact the atmosphere and push back darkness and lies, establishing truth in righteousness. Jesus spoke simple words, filled with authority and power. Sent from the Father and going back to the Father, they accomplish what they are intended to do. Walking in His way, in grace and truth, we as Christians stand on earth while being seated in heavenly places, speaking from heaven to earth in our daily lives. We are called to speak words of spirit and life so that we may transform people and nations.
Sadly we are glutted and saturated with excessive noise daily. Each day we are inundated with manufactured words coming at us from every different angle. Much of it comes forth in the name of Jesus Christ but they are words manufactured in the wisdom of man. With all these words, all this access to information, and so much teaching there is very little power and authority in the Body of Christ. Manufactured processed words lack substance. Manufactured words are empty and vain. These words exalt man through His methods and ministry, changing nothing. They proceed from the mind of man, in opposition to God.
In direct opposition to this, words of the Spirit are simple and clear, filled with grace and truth. These words travel on a spirit led path from heaven to earth and are filled with God’s glory. They impart healing, restoration, reconciliation in life. If you want to speak for God and see impact, we must speak by the Spirit. Paul made it so clear.
I Corinthians 2:3-4 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. NKJV
A sound is stirring within a people in transition right now. They will be voices of truth in a world in chaos. They will speak words ordained by the Spirit, flowing through them as rivers of living water. Without compromise and with strong conviction, abounding in great love, many will speak forth without fear of man. This sound will flow through imperfect human vessels alive in Christ. This sound will flow in the simplicity of grace from a people walking in humility in the knowledge that inside of them is the greatness of God in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:7-9 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 8 We are hard- pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed —NKJV
