So I missed one day in the Ultimate Blog Challenge and you are blessed to get 2 blogs today instead of one. The perfectionist in me rises up to challenge me to complete the task and stay on track. Hahaha!
John 5:19 So Jesus explained himself at length. “I’m telling you this straight. The Son can’t independently do a thing, only what he sees the Father doing. What the Father does, the Son does. The Message
Jesus did not network. He only did what He saw the Father doing. He was known by the Father and trusted Himself to the Father and the Father’s plans for Him. If you read the previous blog, you will see that I tried to make my own way but I am not doing that now. You see, I lived my life making people and situations priorities and thinking they saw me the same way. It blasted my heart open as I discovered that wasn’t true. They often saw me as just an option, that’s all. Not the way to live your life.
Jesus tuned His ear to heaven and walked by the Spirit on earth. I started my Christian life doing exactly that. But, over the years, I changed my focus very slowly and wanted to take part in where the action was, instead of moving in Christ where He wanted me to be. In doing that, rejection hit all around me and I just felt lower and lower in doing things my way with my own wisdom. Now I am back with no regret. The years before me, where I tried to be known, never worked.
I believe in divine connections. In the story of Peter and Cornelius in the book of Acts, it is plain to see that they did not find each other. They were in different places when one had a vision and the other an angelic encounter and bam, the Spirit then proceeded to connect them for a glorious purpose. I believe that is how it is to be yet I got sidetracked, made the mistakes, and learned the lessons. I only want to do what the Father is doing and say what the Father is saying and go where the Father is going. That means total trust in His grace to save me, empower me and lead me out.
What does that mean for me? It means that I value my life in Christ so that I don’t have to compromise my position to be seen and favored by men. I can be free to say no to things that don’t line up with my convictions, trusting God with my life. I can believe that God sees me, even if men do not see me. I believe there is a greater purpose to my life than to collect a spiritual resume of all my great accomplishments in ministry. I can be me and when I am sent forth in the Spirit, I will be free to complete the assignment the Spirit has given me. Be incredibly blessed to be just who you are today!
