Networking In The Holy Spirit – Quotable Living

heart-connect-rise-shine-loveSo I missed one day in the Ultimate Blog Challenge and you are blessed to get 2 blogs today instead of one. The perfectionist in me rises up to challenge me to complete the task and stay on track. Hahaha!

John 5:19 So Jesus explained himself at length. “I’m telling you this straight. The Son can’t independently do a thing, only what he sees the Father doing. What the Father does, the Son does. The Message

Jesus did not network. He only did what He saw the Father doing. He was known by the Father and trusted Himself to the Father and the Father’s plans for Him. If you read the previous blog, you will see that I tried to make my own way but I am not doing that now. You see, I lived my life making people and situations priorities and thinking they saw me the same way. It blasted my heart open as I discovered that wasn’t true. They often saw me as just an option, that’s all. Not the way to live your life.

Jesus tuned His ear to heaven and walked by the Spirit on earth. I started my Christian life doing exactly that. But, over the years, I changed my focus very slowly and wanted to take part in where the action was, instead of moving in Christ where He wanted me to be. In doing that, rejection hit all around me and I just felt lower and lower in doing things my way with my own wisdom. Now I am back with no regret. The years before me, where I tried to be known, never worked.

I0000wYxWIfKLSeUI believe in divine connections. In the story of Peter and Cornelius in the book of Acts, it is plain to see that they did not find each other. They were in different places when one had a vision and the other an angelic encounter and bam, the Spirit then proceeded to connect them for a glorious purpose. I believe that is how it is to be yet I got sidetracked, made the mistakes, and learned the lessons. I only want to do what the Father is doing and say what the Father is saying and go where the Father is going. That means total trust in His grace to save me, empower me and lead me out.

What does that mean for me? It means that I value my life in Christ so that I don’t have to compromise my position to be seen and favored by men. I can be free to say no to things that don’t line up with my convictions, trusting God with my life. I can believe that God sees me, even if men do not see me. I believe there is a greater purpose to my life than to collect a spiritual resume of all my great accomplishments in ministry. I can be me and when I am sent forth in the Spirit, I will be free to complete the assignment the Spirit has given me. Be incredibly blessed to be just who you are today!

  2. This is great…. We need to have our spiritual eyes open and ears cleared at all times to hear when God speaks to us….. Both Peter and Cornelius had to see and hear spiritually to follow God’s directions to meet together….. We can be looking and hearing in the natural while still having eyes and ears open to the spiritual. Sometimes we hear or see spiritually what is to happen but the other person is only listening and seeing in the natural… We have to learn to stomp the dust off our feet and leave because we can not force them to spiritually hear or see…..

  3. Hi Debra,

What I’ve learned in the past is that understanding that when your actions and behaviors are aligned with your thoughts, when your thoughts are aligned with your values, when your values clearly reflect your life and soul purpose,

There is no greater feeling than when your soul purpose is aligned with the higher purpose for your life, and when your higher purpose contributes towards the Divine Will for humanity and the world

    Thanks for the great article!

  4. Hi Debra; I totally get this and I have always tried to live my life by this design of His assignment and His divine leading. Lately I feel like I am in such a funk. I felt led to an employment position and really thought it was going to lead to a great position, but yet it isn’t there yet. I am going on 8 months in this position and feel like something is amiss. I need a better paying job and having seeking, searching and inquiring and yet nothing. This has been quite challenging to me…Sometimes I feel like maybe I missed what He said about this position and have wasted my time here…not sure Thanks for this message.Deanna

    • I hear you Deanna. I know many of us have been led to believe that everything falls into place when we do the right things. But, what happens when we do the right things and nothing comes from it. What then? Do we still trust God? I do and will continue even without understanding. Just keep standing. I do not believe you missed anything. Don’t go there for that is just a lot of guilt. Stay focused. Change will come eventually. 🙂

  5. It’s amazing how aligned my life became when I started accepting that there was a greater purpose in my life that was being revealed to me. The work of God in my life is pretty darned powerful and amazing!
