God Changes Atmospheres As We Speak

img_0924

Just keep speaking as God directs. You have something to say. But wait, it’s as He directs, not in our timing.

In the speaking, light flows with sound, releasing creativity into the spiritual atmosphere – all through our words. There is a timing for every word released.

Words are important to God for they create, tear down, lift up………

Wait, release. Wait, release. That keeps us in step with Holy Spirit.

It’s time to get in step with Holy Spirit as the heart of the Father and the glorious beauty of the Son is revealed to us, in us and through us. Let’s not run with every word that comes to mind, every opinion, every thought. Let’s wait, meditate and then release. God longs for the word that we carry inside to impart life within us first before we speak it out. We become the message and the messenger.

Don’t run with everything you heart. Sometimes it’s just for you. No one else. Can you carry it until God says to release it? Can you? There are so many words floating around. Do you want to be known as a voice or an echo? Be patient.

When we run with an idea or thought or word that is not fully formed in Christ, it carries no weight in the Spirit. It floats around with nowhere to land.

To speak in the power of His anointing? That’s a different story. Words form within us. God directs their release and there they go, carrying the weight of eternity within them. They carry the sound of heaven. God says, “Let their BE!” And there was…..all because we wait on God.

So be patient. When life is forming within us, we don’t have to know every detail of what we carry. We don’t have to know all the answers or even to explain what we are carrying deep inside.

Misunderstood? That comes with the territory.  So many want something definitive, something they can understand and hold tight. But life is not always like that, is it? Are you carrying your dream? Then wait for the right timing to speak it out. When that time comes, we will be able to verbally speak what is inside, deep inside.

Holy Spirit whispers to many – “Follow. Me! We are going somewhere.” One step at a time.

In Christ,
Debra

P.S. I am in the process of developing a new web site with a new focus. It is in process. In the meantime, I will continue to post on this site until further notice.  In the future there will be a self-hosted site, separate from this  with a great clarity and creativity of what we are carrying in these times to impart into people’s lives.

What will I do with this site? Perhaps I will keep it going to just flow in random creative thoughts. Still thinking through that now. Thanks for being patient with me.

Prophets – In Deep Waters

Ocean WaveHere I am in deep waters, far away from any sign of land. Waves surge up and down, settling me briefly into watery valleys that hinder my vision. I hope to see some glimpse of land, some reference point that would lead me up and away from the deep waters into the shallows of what is familiar and comfortable. Yet, each time I rise up, the view is the same – more waves and a vast expanse of sky that causes me to feel a spiritual vertigo. If I look too long without anything to focus on, I feel a bit dizzy in this new place.

How did I get here? Well, I cried out a simple prayer, “More Lord.” When that prayer reached a crescendo, rising into the ears of God, He lifted me up and brought me out into the deep to call me unto Himself.

Despite my disdain for religion and my dislike for the mundane, at least the shallow waters lent themselves to some sort of fellowship and preaching. Out here there’s nothing. No distractions. It’s just the sound of the waves as the wind swirls around me.

To stay afloat, I can tread water but that gets tiring over time. How long will that keep me afloat anyway?

Nothing to lean on. Nowhere to go. It’s just me and the wind and the waves. What purpose does this serve? How does this fit into God’s mighty plan for my life?

I knew it would come to this. After all, when I cried out “More Lord” what did I expect? To be drawn up in the midst of churchianity or to be drawn out into the deep?

For years, a discontent grew within my whole being whenever I entertained the thought of church – business as usual, mundane boring programs, performance driven worship teams or leadership that micromanaged everything down to the last minute. This discontent almost killed me. It was at this point that God whispered into my being. “If you want to go deeper, you have to be drawn into the deep waters.”

Water flowingWhen it first happens, loneliness sets in along with a penchant to stay alive by any means possible. You know what I’m talking about if you are following along with this by the Spirit. Thinking that this won’t last too long or that God will let me go back to the safety of the shoreline. You get that right?

But as the waves come and go, I realize that it’s impossible to have both – sanctimonious religion and God ordained, Spirit led, Jesus loving relationship. It’s impossible for desire and passion to grow in environments self-serving to man’s agenda without any regard to precious Holy Spirit.

When drawn into the deep by the hand of God, there is only one thing to do. Release, let go and allow Him to pull you down into His depths. There is no returning to normalcy after that. When I release myself to the hand of God and He pulls me under, I have only one recourse of action left in my life.

Release everything to Him. Trust Him.

What’s the alternative? Catching a wave back into shore, splashing around in the shallows with those who want nothing more from God than the latest conference or next trendy worship CD. There are no options left for me.

I release myself into the depths of my Lord.

Over time, I discover a new paradigm takes over. What was focused years ago on external Christianity in the realm of performance, agenda and works is now focused on being in union with Christ, so that my life flows in Christ………..as He is, so am I in the world. This reality infuses my life with His life. It is Christ in me. Christ in me.

It is in the depths, the deep waters, that I find truth, the person of Christ in the depths of His love, His grace and His mercy flowing into my life.

God calls prophets into the deep waters for seasons of increased revelation, growth and maturity. It is a pulling aside, going deeper, intimate times with God apart from the routine and ritual that religious Christianity brings.

Prophets in deep waters love God and love His people. The deep is necessary to strengthen the message that will resonate through every fiber of our being. It is a call to love God wholeheartedly with our whole mind, body and soul, forsaking anything the world offers that tries to take the place of God. Our message is fine-tuned here, uncompromised, not conforming to standard or ritual.

What is the message you may ask? Is it some mysterious revelation that sets us apart? Is it some new teaching that will draw others to us, eyes wide open, gazing in admiration at us and our anointing?

It’s quite simple. It is the centrality of Christ; Jesus being all in all with every prophetic utterance issuing forth a revelation of the preeminence and glory, in the person of Christ.

In the deep, He forms the hearts before He fashions the words coming from our lives. Each word has its beginning and ending in the person of Jesus Christ. Our lives are changed. He is our all in all.

The deep brings a reality that forms in us and lives through us in Christ. We may be called back into the shallows and back onto land but the revelation imparted here will be the foundation of our lives. Radical prophets submitted to God, loving people and challenging the very nature of the church, as we know it.

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him? For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:33-36

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Colossians 1:15-18

Sonic Boom – Voices of Truth

1203783516_19b903a715_zI heard the Lord speak something to me many years ago that still rings true in my Spirit today. He said: “Sonic Boom”.

So what’s a sonic boom for those who may never have heard one?

When an airplane travels through the air, it produces sound waves. If the plane is traveling slower than the speed of sound (the speed of sound varies, but 700 mph is typical through air), then sound waves can propagate ahead of the plane. If the plane breaks the sound barrier and flies faster than the speed of sound, it produces a sonic boom when it flies past. The boom is the “wake” of the plane’s sound waves. All of the sound waves that would have normally propagated ahead of the plane are combined together so at first you hear nothing, and then you hear the boom they create. (www.howstuffworks.com)

The plane is moving through the air traveling faster than the speed of sound. This plane breaks the sound barrier and produces a boom when it flies past it. The boom is the evidence of the effect of the plane breaking the sound barrier. This sound is loud and penetrating. You cannot avoid hearing it.

As a little girl, growing up in Chicago, there were many summer days when I heard a sonic boom pierce the atmosphere above us and shake our house. I still vividly remember it, so much so that God brought the memory back to me today.

There’s prophetic insight here is we look close enough.

Sound Waves From MouthWhen voices of truth are sent forth by God, their words will flow from the heavenly realm, imbued with an eternal weight of glory. These words are light accompanied by sound, which will break the sound barrier here on earth and cause a sonic boom in the Spirit, which will impact the natural. These words won’t gather up before us, perpetually waiting for us to catch up. Instead, they will be energized with heavenly glory to move fast and furious into the earth realm so as to break through the natural course of events to impact the earthly with an eternal sound, an eternal reality.

As a company of people rise up to speak God’s words, words that are spirit and life, these words will be sent for a purpose from the eternal realm. According to Jeremiah, God watches over His word to perform it. It also says this in Isaiah:

Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. NKJV

Like that airplane, our words of truth in Christ break the sound barrier of the natural realm and fly faster than the speed of sound and produce a sonic boom in the spirit. When one voice is speaking, there is power. When a company of people called to speak truth in Christ speak, truth will shake, and agitate and dismantle whatever is in its path.

We often see a myriad of voices in the Body of Christ today bringing forth a sound that is birthed on earth and carries very little impact in the spirit. Words compete for attention and actually hit up against each other constantly in debate and argument. Words flow forth to defend positions and to enforce doctrine. Words also flow forth that are nebulous and vague with little substance.

God will empower our words more than we can imagine if we listen more than we speak.  (Read the Vision).  We are learning. We are listening. We are waiting to hear and speak words that hold wisdom, grace, authority, and life. I believe that I am in these waters with many of you, counting the cost to follow Jesus Christ obediently and wholeheartedly with all love and passion. Speaking the truth in Christ or saying nothing at all!

Can You Hear It? It’s Time to Listen Carefully for the Sound Within a Sound

SpeakingThere is a sound within a sound, or above a sound or behind a sound. Listen carefully with the ears of the Spirit. Sounds can easily mask a reality that lies underneath or around them. I need spiritual ears to discern from what direction the sound comes. What is its source? What is it really sounding out? What should I really be hearing in all of it?

Moses heard a sound within a sound.

When Joshua heard the sound of the people shouting noisily, he said to Moses, “That’s the sound of war in the camp!” But Moses said, Those aren’t songs of victory, and those aren’t songs of defeat, I hear songs of people throwing a party. Exodus 32:17-18 (MSG)

Do you see this? He discerned a true sound.

Jesus often said, “Hear what the Spirit is saying.”

Now is the time to listen carefully.

There is a sound above all this noise that permeates social media, the airwaves, TV, radio……….It is a sound that tries to dictate what I believe. It is a sound that distorts or completely annihilates truth in order to conform me to the image of the world.

I need to rise above all the noise to not only see from a Kingdom perspective but to hear what the Spirit of God is saying. Noise attempts to drive me off course. What course? My Kingdom path of righteousness, peace, joy, wisdom, discernment.

There are peculiar sounds out there that try to lead me astray, taking me into caves of fear or anxiety, trying to drive me onto paths of hesitation, procrastination or confusion. Don’t go there.

There is a so-called king of sound (little k) who sits on a throne, trying (and I say trying because he is defeated) to throw us off course into the path of bondage and imprisonment. He throws out fear into the wind, hoping it catches a wave to cover the earth in chaos. Oh, did I say……there is a devil. The media mocks this idea as quaint and archaic. The politically correct crowd sits with arrogance and condescension at any mention of his reality. Yet there is darkness and light. Let me say right now, light overcomes all darkness. In Christ there is light, life, hope and love.

It’s a good time to realize that spiritual warfare is real. Yet, it is essential to KNOW that we are seated in heavenly places and live IN CHRIST, victorious in every way. We fight this battle from a victorious position in Christ. But, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t keep trying to capture us in his grip. Be very careful what you believe, what you listen to, what you watch. Our spiritual senses are under attack.

Listen carefully to a heavenly sound, a higher reality that flows with revelation from a greater throne. A King of Love who speaks and all of creation responds, listens and even claps their hands.

Shout your praises to God, everybody! Let loose and sing! Strike up the band! Round up an orchestra to play for God, add on a hundred-voice choir. Feature trumpets and big trombones; fill the air with praises to King God. Let the sea and its fish give a round of applause, with everything living on earth joining in. Let ocean breakers call out, “Encore!” and mountains harmonize the finale— A tribute to God when he comes, when he comes to set the earth right. He’ll straighten out the whole world; He’ll put the world right, and everyone in it. Psalms 98:4-9 (MSG)

Listen! Learn to listen carefully! How do I fine-tune my hearing? In His presence.

Worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness. Be still and know that He is God. Spend time alone – you and Jesus.

Why are you worried? Why do you fear? What sound are you listening to?

Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice.”

ListenGod shouts and He whispers. His voice is carried on high from the heights of creation while at the same time, whispering within my life, Christ in me, the hope of glory. What a paradox. A God who shouts and whispers at the same time. His sound covers the earth in glory.

Today. This day. Learn to listen. Chaos will increase in the earth. Where is your path of clarity? How do you even find it? How do you know which way to turn?

Again I say, be still and spend time in the presence of the Lord. In this place, He calibrates and aligns your hearing to the beat of His heart. His sound will direct your steps onto a clear path. You will be led forth in wisdom and peace despite chaos all around. People around you will wonder, “Why are you joyful? What is that peace in your life?”

Learn to listen. Be slow to speak and quick to listen. Selah.

All About Holy Spirit: Visions, Open Doors, Transformation

flowing blue waterLead the way Holy Spirit! This is my focus as I speak, minister, travel…..Holy Spirit guides me in the Way, Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God is not some ethereal wispy wind, without form or function. Holy Spirit reveals Jesus Christ in directing my path. Holy Spirit reveals heaven’s direction,  guiding and leading me as I step out and move in what is revealed. Heaven manifesting on earth.

But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won’t draw attention to himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen and, indeed, out of all that I have done and said. 14 He will honor me; he will take from me and deliver it to you. 15 Everything the Father has is also mine. That is why I’ve said, ‘He takes from me and delivers to you. (John 16:13-15 Message)

When we travel. Holy Spirit sets our agenda, opening doors into nations, gatherings, or even small home groups. He makes the way in Christ before we even get there, preparing the hearts of the people to believe, receive and be transformed as we minister Christ.

Here is how Holy Spirit moved through a service in Poland on April 3, 2016.

At the Sunday service in Elblag, worship flowed in a strong sound, escalating up into the spiritual atmosphere. I received a vision in which I saw a tunnel open up in the middle of the sanctuary. This tunnel extended from heaven to earth. As I looked up with the eyes of the Spirit, I saw a great cloud of witnesses looking down at us. It seemed that they wanted to be invited into the service, to see heaven connect with earth in that service on that day.

From years of ministry experience, I know as Holy Spirit gives vision, it’s  best to wait on the Lord to receive direction in how to move in the Spirit based upon what is seen with the eyes of the spirit.

I then had another vision where I saw myself and 2 others on the worship team begin to sing together at the microphone. No words. Just a clear sound of harmony, voices blending together, an escalation of drawn out notes in strength and power. As I asked the pastor if it was okay to do this, he said yes so I obeyed the vision from the Lord.

cropped-cropped-istock_000026317800medium22.jpgAs we began to sing in harmony around one microphone, heaven continued to open up vision in others and myself. We saw the sound going out from the three of us as notes echoing up the tunnel into the heavenly realm. These notes bounced off the sides of the tunnel until they met the sound of heaven coming down with another sound. The two sounds mingled together and I could hear a heavenly chorus, loud and clear.

As these sounds increased, I saw in the Spirit, oil began to flow down the walls of the sanctuary. Oil signifies anointing. For that day, I knew that a healing anointing was present. I believed the Lord was present to heal in many different ways.

The Pastor came up to confirm the word by speaking about a heavenly chorus being released through worship. He then asked the worship team to sing a few more songs, which tied in with all that was going on. A beautiful anointing was present, a glorious story being played out, scripted by heaven itself.

As I began to preach. Holy Spirit then directed me to a new message, a time of storytelling to be exact. The story was about the woman with the alabaster box, facing a room of religious leaders, walking up to Jesus to anoint Him in a most timely and intimate manner with oil. It spoke of risking it all in the face of religious persecution to love Jesus.

The cry of the Lord this particular day sounded out through the word, through vision and worship and through the altar call. Healing – emotional healing for guilt, shame, deep roots of rejection. Physical healing of bodies. Spiritual healing to know that the love of God called many back to relationship with Jesus Christ.

This is flow. This is Holy Spirit who directs and scripts each gathering so that all glory honor and reverence goes to Jesus Christ. This is how Rivers of Eden ministers – in glory. I spend time worshipping in His presence, reading and studying the Word of God and then Holy Spirit flows from a deep well of Christ that is within my life. I am very excited about creativity expressed in Christ through Rivers of Eden in the days ahead.

We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. 16 For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels––everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. 17 He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. 18 And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body. He was supreme in the beginning and––leading the resurrection parade––he is supreme in the end. From beginning to end he’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. (Colossians 1:15-18 Message)
