Pursue Spiritual Realities

Peace in ChristSeated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, my paradigm of life shifts, giving me clear spiritual vision. My position in heavenly places changes my earthly perspective. I learn to see a greater reality in the spirit than what I see with my natural eyes. In the midst of the world’s chaos, I live in the spirit, Holy Spirit. Spiritual realities contradict the world’s chaos. Where there is confusion, I have peace. Where there is fear, I have faith. Where there is anxiety and worry, I have hope – in Christ. I live from this place each moment of my life.

Live by impulses of the spirit – motivated to pursue spiritual realties. Romans 8:5 (Passion Translation)

Spiritual realities form the foundation of a life, flowing and living in the spirit – in the world but not of the world. Knowing that I am a spiritual being in Christ, my identity, purpose and destiny forms in another kingdom where Christ is King and Lord. I live, move and have my being in Him, outside of time and space, in the Spirit. Infused with life in Christ, I live in the earth, bringing His life and light to flow in my life while I am physically here. Eternal realities flow in and through me in Christ.

GlassesI am an eternal being in Christ. My life is hidden in Him. From that spiritual reality, I see with a new lens of spiritual sight. I am in time for such a time as this. I don’t escape the darkness of the world but I am not captured by its journey into deeper realms of chaos. My spiritual life is a way in Christ that I live, move and have my being right in the midst of it all.

Now, how does one pursue spiritual realities?

  • Listen to the voice of God. Above all, know that as a child of God, you can hear your Father speak to you. He sets your course in life. He takes you higher into purpose and destiny. His voice is right here, even in all the noise. Learn to listen.
  • Know that Christians are spiritual beings in Christ. Be aware and fully present in that reality, discerning not only the times but also the times in your day. Discern the spirits that are not Holy Spirit – fear, anxiety, or worry to name a few.
  • Live in the light of revelation and learn to discern the darkness so that when it attacks you know where it is coming from whether that is at work, at home or out and about in your day. Learn to pick up on what is going on in the spiritual realm at all times.
  • Ask Holy Spirit to fine-tune your spiritual senses. Talk to God. Pray in tongues. Learn to listen to Him as you are moving about your day so that you can move in prophesy, words of wisdom or knowledge. Be alert to know how to respond to people with words of hope and love. Also be alert to situations where darkness may escalate right before your eyes. The Spirit may quietly tell you to pray, to leave, or to take some sort of action.
  • Spend time with the Lord, times of worship and prayer. From these times of intimacy, glory saturates your life so that the light shines so bright that when moving throughout your day, the light of Christ penetrates the darkness and always overcomes it.
  • Discern, watch, and always listen with spiritual eyes and ears. Be contrary and contradictory in your Christian walk. How? Flow in an opposing spirit of humility, grace and love no matter what you face. This flow will bring down strongholds and barriers that present themselves along your path each day. The darkness cannot comprehend this type of heavenly strength and will flee, confused and dismantled.
  • Grow in wisdom and knowledge in the Lord through reading His word.

These are just a few thoughts for today. As a Christian,  learn to walk in a greater spiritual reality in Christ. Holy Spirit will teach you.

Walk Into Your Future – Be Present – Live A Seamless Life

Happy New Year Everyone!

More great posts from the past year.

Look Around – Who’s Walking With You Into Your Future?
It’s a sad fact but some people, no matter what we do, will not walk with us into our future. We may want them to with all of our heart, knowing that the fit seems perfect, at least to us. Yet, they stand resolute in the now, seeing us as we were but not as we are. Everyone and I mean everyone is capable of change and restoration in God’s grace. In Hm there is hope and restoration. Read more…..

To Be Positioned To BE Present
To me this is just normal Christianity – filled with supernatural experiences that are in sync with my eternal reality, being seated in heavenly places. From this place, Holy Spirit leads and guides me in the natural realm with heavenly vision. For those who looked at me over the years and often indicated that I was bit ‘off,” I would like to just ask, “How’s your Christianity going for you? Has it settled into a mundane reality or are you living in the adventure of journey in Christ?” Read more…..

Open DoorCreative Expression – A Seamless Life In Christ
Seamless – Flowing, Continuously, Living. Connected to heaven, living on earth. Before my salvation in Christ, I wandered into anything and everything that could or would give me meaning. At that time in my life, I did not want, nor did I seek salvation because I was a ‘hard-sell’, very cynical and rebellious. For me to even focus on the Lord, I had to see that He was real. He is. He offered me life and I accepted. And, in my Christianity, I never settled for anything so religious that it denied that I am a spiritual being in Christ, able to hear His voice and meant to walk in the supernatural, . The Word and the Spirit – that is Christianity that is my reality. People of two realms – that is a good way to describe it.  Read more…..

God’s Overpowering Purpose – BE Present

This meditation spoke to me as I pray it also does for you. Enjoy the previous blogs on divine positioning to BE present in Christ for His purpose.

Freedom in ChristGod’s Overpowering Purpose – Oswald Chambers – My Utmost for His Highest

The vision Paul had on the road to Damascus was not a passing emotional experience, but a vision that had very clear and emphatic directions for him. And Paul stated, “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision” (Acts 26:19). Our Lord said to Paul, in effect, “Your whole life is to be overpowered or subdued by Me; you are to have no end, no aim, and no purpose but Mine.” And the Lord also says to us, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go . . .” (John 15:16).

When we are born again, if we are spiritual at all, we have visions of what Jesus wants us to be. It is important that I learn not to be “disobedient to the heavenly vision”—not to doubt that it can be attained. It is not enough to give mental assent to the fact that God has redeemed the world, nor even to know that the Holy Spirit can make all that Jesus did a reality in my life. I must have the foundation of a personal relationship with Him. Paul was not given a message or a doctrine to proclaim. He was brought into a vivid, personal, overpowering relationship with Jesus Christ. Acts 26:16 is tremendously compelling “. . . to make you a minister and a witness . . . .” There would be nothing there without a personal relationship. Paul was devoted to a Person, not to a cause. He was absolutely Jesus Christ’s. He saw nothing else and he lived for nothing else. “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2).

O Lord, enchain me to Yourself with great bonds of adoring love; encircle me around with Your Providence for Your purposes; enlarge me until I am more and more capable of being of use to You.

Leave Room For God – BE Present

To be positioned for purpose, present in those moments when God wants to shift our focus as well as our location, requires leaving room for God. Reading this morning and this seems so applicable to the previous blogs.

Just BeLeave Room For God – Oswald Chambers – My Utmost For His Highest

As servants of God, we must learn to make room for Him—to give God “elbow room.” We plan and figure and predict that this or that will happen, but we forget to make room for God to come in as He chooses. Would we be surprised if God came into our meeting or into our preaching in a way we had never expected Him to come? Do not look for God to come in a particular way, but do look for Him. The way to make room for Him is to expect Him to come, but not in a certain way. No matter how well we may know God, the great lesson to learn is that He may break in at any minute. We tend to overlook this element of surprise, yet God never works in any other way. Suddenly, God meets our life—“when it pleased God.”

Keep your life so constantly in touch with God that His surprising power can break through at any point. Live in a constant state of expectancy, and leave room for God to come in as He decides.

Lord, breathe on me until my frame is knit to Your thought. Lift me until I see Your face and trust Your Almightiness without fear or insidious unbelief.

To be Positioned to BE Present…….More Thoughts On This Journey

In creative ways, God graciously confirms His word to my spirit. Once He speaks, prophetic words, pictures, music or videos intersect my path. He’s got this all in control even if I don’t entirely see the whole picture.

The previous blog sets the stage for me in all of this. I acknowledge that fear tries to rise up to get me off-focus, to convince me that God can’t be trusted. I can get buried in the what-if’s along with other questions that center on doubt.

I would like to say that I simply released all control and in a quiet contemplative state I whisked through my day along a cloud of knowing.

But I didn’t. What did I do? After so many years of God showing His faithfulness to me, I still decided to make a list. I listed the pros and cons of what life would be like if we moved to various places to ‘settle’ in order to travel out to minister.

Over the course of an hour, I thought it seemed right to me. Notice what I said there – seemed right to me. I should know by now shouldn’t I?

What's next What nowMy lists show my humanness in full force. The lists went in so many different directions that I ended up doing what I usually do. I threw them away and just sat there, eyes closed, heart open. I quit. I won’t establish my path in my own wisdom.

In that moment of just being, God spoke and continued to speak over the whole day.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him… (Psalms 37:5-7 NKJV)

Commit my way to His way in complete trust.

He does what He promises He will do.

He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24 NKJV)

Little Guy With PostitsThen I read this on FB and it seemed to go hand in hand with what I am seeking in this season. Perfection.

Kris Vallotton

One of the difficulties in becoming fully actualized occurs when people find themselves in a community that doesn’t have the capacity or vision to collaborate with their calling. For example, if you want to be an actress it might be good to move to Hollywood. If you are called to be a singer maybe Nashville is the place for you. New York is a great place to become a model, and the Silicone Valley might be the best place for a High Tech start up. But moving to the Silicone Valley to pursue a career in modeling is probably a bad idea. Conversely, it might be tough to start a tech company in Hollywood. Although these examples are in no way absolutes, they serve to paint a picture in our imagination of the collaboration that takes place when we discover our people and find our Promise Land. These examples also help to explain what happens when we try to fulfill our call in the wrong community. Forging Champions

I am seeking a spiritual community of people who live and move in the direction and power of the kingdom, seeking Jesus in radical love. To me that is being positioned to BE present and the dominos just go falling down – connections, opportunities, relationships, creativity, and expansion. It’s a good thing. Where is it? Still looking, still trusting, still hoping, and still focusing on God. No more lists. Just day by day walking in sync with Him one step at a time.

KeyholeThis move seems so crucial for us to settle in order to move out and travel to the nations. What seems so overwhelmingly BIG for me is just part of God’s process for me and in Him there is peace that surpasses understanding. In this peace I will walk, wait and trust.

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:11-12 NKJV)

I want to keep focused on this so more is coming soon.
