A Word for Kenya – Build Habitations for His Glory

Keyhole

A Word for Kenya:

Please know that I do not place myself above this word as if I am without fault or in need of changing in my own life or that America is somehow perfect in any way. That is not the case. This is simply what I heard on my walk this morning as I prayed for Kenya and was instructed to speak out. Please receive with an open heart and spirit.

I heard the Lord say, “Corrupted files.” Please follow me in this. There are many ways to speak this out but I want to keep it as simple as possible.

There are corrupted files in the ‘system’ in Kenya where a download from the Lord is being distorted or even perverted as it begins to be revealed. In other words, the corrupted file is in the heart of man where, as revelation is presented, man then works it out for his glory and not the Lord’s glory.

Think of this in the same way that this type of file corrupts a computer system. A corrupted file is a file that has become damaged and refuses to open properly. God’s download is unable to open correctly in its full measure of grace and glory.

This file is corrupted due to man’s wisdom and thirst for power. What God intends for good, the enemy will always try to distort or pervert. And, it is easy to use humans in this way. The Lord desires to reach out and restore, heal, and work in power and glory through His people but corruption rules and reigns.

Because of this corrupted file, what the Lord desires to do in His grace and mercy is being distorted in its outworking because of man’s need for recognition, power, and even greed. His revelation can’t get through or won’t pass through what is initiated in the flesh. What does come through is man’s interpretation of God, not God’s revelation of Himself or His ways. Yet, His desire remains strong and true towards this nation and its people.

This word is for those willing to allow the Lord to delete these corrupted files from man’s heart through repentance and a change of direction It is time to realize that God’s desire is that we are conformed to the image of His son and with a corrupt file in place; every download will be distorted to give man glory and not God.

God’s glory is destined to shine through Kenya and yet, God will share His glory with no man nor be usurped by their interpretation of Him as they want Him to be, not as He is…the I AM.

What to do? Submit yourself to God and allow Holy Spirit to have His way with you – in your life, your churches, and your communities. Listen to Holy Spirit in what to release, what to keep, what to change. Many may have to allow God to bring it all down to nothing to build a habituation for His Glory in His way. There is so much more to say as I love Kenya but I will leave it here for those willing to pray this through and see how God reveals Himself to you. The cost to receive this revelation and take it further in your life? Total submission to be conformed to Jesus Christ.

In Christ,
Debra Westbrook

Kenya Singing

Glorious, beautiful, wonderful adventure in Christ in Kenya. We are so happy to be back here. I know that it is a new day and all those years of wilderness training of breaking and trials is now being manifest in and through our lives. Our focus is Jesus Christ and Him alone. May He receive all the glory from our lives in this season.

May each of you reading this today, be blessed in the knowledge of Christ Jesus so that you know the depth of His love for each of you. May you seek His face so that His glory is manifest in your life in marvelous and exciting ways! Shine!

Blogs, Kenya, Dallas – In That Order

From now until October, my life is taking quite an orderly direction. I’ve not blogged for the past few weeks simply because I have not had a lot to say. A short break is good isn’t it?

For the next 3-4 weeks I am going to reblog some great posts, share some awesome prophetic words I’ve been reading and send out some other things that interest me. Hopefully you will like them too.

Kenya Trip – August-September. Really excited about this. These past few years has been quiet for Marvin and I, not a lot of traveling. I am happy to say we are back on the road again. Our call to Kenya beats strong in our hearts. I started ministering there in 2002 all the way up to 2008. Then God said to take a break and we did. Now the door is open again and our vision is clear for this season.

Our itinerary includes prophetic meetings, conferences, and leadership meetings, teamed up with Pastors Augustus and Peninah Mutua. I am working on a 4 day discipleship course that centers on a revelation from Acts 17:28 – Being in Christ, Living in Christ, Moving in Christ and Creative Expression in Christ. This course will take shape in booklet form in the days ahead for upcoming trips. We have a wide open door of ministry and it feels good.

TexasDallas/Fort Worth Area – October – Moving, moving, moving. After these past 2 years of being in Southern California, we are settling in the DFW area for our next season. After much prayer, there seems to be no doubt that this is where we are going and again, we are quite excited about it in every way.

So enjoy the blogs that are forthcoming and be blessed in the Lord.

Our Kenya Years

The best thing about Kenya is its people, their joy, their resilience, and their strength. Our experiences in Kenya were the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, yet our love never wavers for this nation. God called us there for the first time in 2002. It has been over 5 years since we have been back. It is almost 2014 and I still think about it quite often. Waiting on God, I listen carefully should He open a door for me to return.

When I think about Kenya, I think ‘light’. There is a radiance and splendor shining forth from the heart of the nation. Amidst the villages and the cities, the Lord has blessed Kenya with beauty. Look into a Kenyan’s eyes and you see light, the light of hope that tomorrow will be better than today. They live with hope for the future, despite any attack that presents itself in the day. Kenyans are resilient. You knock them down, they get up. And, when they get up, they are still joyful despite everything that tries to come against them.

When I think about Kenya, I think “joy”. The joy of the Lord is their strength. That inner fortitude carries them into their future, investing their lives into their families and children. Joy flows through Kenya like a river. It flows through the generations despite outward turmoil or inward despair. Joy is inherent in their nature, as if God, by His hand, wove it throughout their DNA. They are joyful. It is who they are. It is how they live.

When I think about Kenya, I think about its greatest resource, its people, especially its children. Children are a living, running, smiling testimony that God is making a way from generation to generation. God manifests in the present His own hope for the future in the children of Kenya. God births life through children so that we remember; He is greater than poverty or lack. He is greater than despair and disillusionment. He is greater than disease. He is able to do above and beyond anything we can think or imagine.

Children are unique – simple, unique, shining brightly with joy. They are loved. They are wanted here. They are valued. Families loving children generation after generation. I can still see meetings where the children would gather at the front of the venue, sitting and watching us minister. I see their smiles –always smiling.

Before I jump into 2014 with passion and purpose, I remember where I came from in years past. I remember who influenced me and what impacted my life. Finland has changed my life. Abu Dhabi has changed my life. And Kenya has changed my life. Each nation has imparted strength into the fiber of my being. My life has been greatly blessed and enriched by Kenya. I feel quite sure in what I am writing. I am not rambling about my travels. I see God making a way through all of this to show me again that my call is to the nations. I am a nomad at heart for travel and adventure burn in my spirit.  In writing this, the Lord is speaking to me to remember His promises. Remember the doors that will open with the new experiences and the greatest adventures. Remember the call to go forth in His glory and grace. Remember that He who has called me is faithful, and He will do it.
