Courage Needed – Heads Up In The Darkness

Way Truth LifeCourage

It is required now and in the days ahead. Light in Christ flowing through our lives into the intense darkness all around us. This requires courage and conviction to rise up in Kingdom Reality.

To KNOW that we are in Christ and He has overcome death and the grave.

To BE Christ in the darkness knowing that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world.

To MOVE in Him with intentionality and purpose, not shirking back in fear.

Wherever there is darkness, the smallest bit of light will overcome it. Truth brings light into the darkness. Do we know this deep within us? Or do we adapt to the shifting shadows in the hope that no confrontation or challenge will come our way? The days ahead will challenge our beliefs on many different levels and this will require courage on our part to rise above the chaos.

The simplest things will provoke provocation and anger in those around us.

To stand up in the reality that Jesus Himself said:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

This is a radical statement, and one that will be contested on every side. Many will proclaim our arrogance in even saying it. Many will say that we are outrageously presumptuous to even think it. Yet, the fact remains……Jesus said it and it is truth.

Living it out. Walking it out. We fear neither death nor shirk from life itself. Life moves us out in courage and boldness. We know that we ARE seated in heavenly places. We ARE hidden in Christ. He has overcome death and the grave. That makes us courageous.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3

To know Him – that sets a path in the darkness. No need to fear. No need to worry. There is a light there as we walk in faith. His glory is increasing throughout the earth.

For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you………..Is. 60:1-2

Wherever you are today, rise up in the knowing that He is Lord. Be still and know this to navigate the waters of persecution or mockery you may be facing. Be still and know this to go through times of chaos that challenges your faith, hoping to pull you under or knock you out of the race. Be still and know He is Lord. It’s about to get real folks!

Are You hungry? What are You Looking for?

Knives and ForksMy stomach growled as if I hadn’t eaten in a week. Where was this coming from? I just ate breakfast.

Sometimes God moves through our emotional or physical senses to show us what He is feeling for someone or some situation that day. We feel what He is feeling. Has that ever happened to you? It usually happens through my emotions. Sometimes I look at someone who I’m praying over and I feel intense joy. I don’t know the person but just feel such joy and peace for them. I can’t explain it other than its God’s joy over His child. Praying over the person in this revelation releases joy into their life.

This time it was pure hunger pains. I received them and asked Him what He wanted to show me.

“Deep hunger is growing in many.”

Let me say something here okay? If your Christianity is not filled with supernatural signs from the Lord, then ask Him to sync your life with heaven in Holy Spirit. You are already seated in heavenly places. Every spiritual blessing is yours in Christ. And, you are eternal beings in Christ. So shouldn’t our lives be in sync with eternity?

God is on an adventure and He calls us to walk with Him in the midst of journey. I never accepted my Christianity as just being a ‘go to church sit in a pew listen to a sermon and then carry on with the rest of my life” sort of thing. Jesus is my life so He lives His life through me and He never disappoints.

Fork and Knife on Napkin

Back to the hunger pains okay?

God speaks. I listen.

“There is an intense hunger growing in people, a hunger so strong it can’t be denied. Nothing but Jesus Christ can satisfy a hunger so deep.”

God creates the hunger and then gives divine satisfaction in the person of Jesus Christ.

Why the hunger?

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!’ Psalm 34:8

He speaks it loud and clear.

“Partake of life in my son, Jesus Christ. Taste and see that He is good.”

God stirs hunger and then brings divine satisfaction. Why? He seeks you with His heart of love. He calms the storms with eternal reality, the real stuff in Christ.

People are hungry so they search all over for things that satisfy. This runs the gamut from drugs, alcohol, sex, reputation, success, materialism, food…and on and on and on. Fear drives people to feel safe so they seek out anything to get their mind and their life off of the worry, chaos and anxiety in the earth today. Fear is on the loose magnified to the highest degree.

Fear of loss.
Fear of failure.
Fear of death.
Fear of lack.
Fear of sickness.
Fear, fear and more fear.
The list is endless.

God speaks clearly. “Are you hungry? Come to Me! Nothing else will satisfy. Nothing.”

Don’t waste your energy striving for perishable food like that. Work for the food that sticks with you, food that nourishes your lasting life, food the Son of Man provides. He and what he does are guaranteed by God the Father to last……I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen me in action, you don’t really believe me. Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don’t let go. ” John 6:27, 35-37

Is this truth too hard to swallow? Pardon the pun.

It’s true. All He says is truth. And in this truth there is light and life to change your life so that you find peace, hope, mercy, and love…..so much love in Christ that you will wonder why you ever tried to find something else to satisfy this intense hunger in you.

Are you hungry? Taste and see that He is good. Nothing else will satisfy.

Pursue Spiritual Realities

Peace in ChristSeated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, my paradigm of life shifts, giving me clear spiritual vision. My position in heavenly places changes my earthly perspective. I learn to see a greater reality in the spirit than what I see with my natural eyes. In the midst of the world’s chaos, I live in the spirit, Holy Spirit. Spiritual realities contradict the world’s chaos. Where there is confusion, I have peace. Where there is fear, I have faith. Where there is anxiety and worry, I have hope – in Christ. I live from this place each moment of my life.

Live by impulses of the spirit – motivated to pursue spiritual realties. Romans 8:5 (Passion Translation)

Spiritual realities form the foundation of a life, flowing and living in the spirit – in the world but not of the world. Knowing that I am a spiritual being in Christ, my identity, purpose and destiny forms in another kingdom where Christ is King and Lord. I live, move and have my being in Him, outside of time and space, in the Spirit. Infused with life in Christ, I live in the earth, bringing His life and light to flow in my life while I am physically here. Eternal realities flow in and through me in Christ.

GlassesI am an eternal being in Christ. My life is hidden in Him. From that spiritual reality, I see with a new lens of spiritual sight. I am in time for such a time as this. I don’t escape the darkness of the world but I am not captured by its journey into deeper realms of chaos. My spiritual life is a way in Christ that I live, move and have my being right in the midst of it all.

Now, how does one pursue spiritual realities?

  • Listen to the voice of God. Above all, know that as a child of God, you can hear your Father speak to you. He sets your course in life. He takes you higher into purpose and destiny. His voice is right here, even in all the noise. Learn to listen.
  • Know that Christians are spiritual beings in Christ. Be aware and fully present in that reality, discerning not only the times but also the times in your day. Discern the spirits that are not Holy Spirit – fear, anxiety, or worry to name a few.
  • Live in the light of revelation and learn to discern the darkness so that when it attacks you know where it is coming from whether that is at work, at home or out and about in your day. Learn to pick up on what is going on in the spiritual realm at all times.
  • Ask Holy Spirit to fine-tune your spiritual senses. Talk to God. Pray in tongues. Learn to listen to Him as you are moving about your day so that you can move in prophesy, words of wisdom or knowledge. Be alert to know how to respond to people with words of hope and love. Also be alert to situations where darkness may escalate right before your eyes. The Spirit may quietly tell you to pray, to leave, or to take some sort of action.
  • Spend time with the Lord, times of worship and prayer. From these times of intimacy, glory saturates your life so that the light shines so bright that when moving throughout your day, the light of Christ penetrates the darkness and always overcomes it.
  • Discern, watch, and always listen with spiritual eyes and ears. Be contrary and contradictory in your Christian walk. How? Flow in an opposing spirit of humility, grace and love no matter what you face. This flow will bring down strongholds and barriers that present themselves along your path each day. The darkness cannot comprehend this type of heavenly strength and will flee, confused and dismantled.
  • Grow in wisdom and knowledge in the Lord through reading His word.

These are just a few thoughts for today. As a Christian,  learn to walk in a greater spiritual reality in Christ. Holy Spirit will teach you.

Out of the Way – Off the Beaten Path – Sounds Like Holy Spirit

Blue Flowing RiverHoly Spirit loves to take us out of the way and off the beaten path where we discover the beauty of the journey and overwhelming joy in adventure. On those paths we meet Jesus in fresh new ways. He flows through our lives supernaturally. As a Christian, I am not called to walk in a rut, treading ground, looking down. No matter what the condition of my life right now or yours, we are seated in heavenly places, hidden in Christ, alive in Christ. Positionally? Yes. Experientially? Definitely yes.

…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (Ephesians 2:6 NKJV)

Live out from this reality in knowing that in Christ we are eternal. Tune into the directives of heaven in Holy Spirit and life, as you know it will drastically change. Journey in Christ with Christ. Look at situations from an eternal perspective and engage with heaven’s call to walk in the Spirit right now, day by day. How we need Holy Spirit!

Live experientially from this reality. It’s called journey in Christ in Holy Spirit. Am I willing to be spontaneously shifted down an alternate path? Am I willing to take a road less traveled where I may be alone or find others just like me? The experiential outworking of our eternal reality, heaven’s directive, can completely wreck our life. Yet, what is the alternative? Living in the day to day, bored out of your mind, stuck in a rut. That is not Christianity, at least not to me.

Sunlight MarcoChristianity is a journey, creatively scripted for each one of us who are new creatures in Christ Jesus. My reality – I live, move and have my being in Christ. Holy Spirit directs my life, shifts my path, and moves me into different places all at the sound of the whisper of heaven, the voice of God. This is reality. This is spirituality. And, this is my call and my life. To challenge people to desire to know Holy Spirit.

Change for change sake is not what I want for I can shift my direction, follow new agendas, travel the world and still be dissatisfied unless the directives come from the Lord. That is real adventure.

So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “ Give Me a drink. (John 4:5-7 NKJVS)

The right place at the right time. Allow the Lord to lead you to people and then let the prophetic rise up in you to speak life to them. You never know what can happen.

Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “ Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship….(Acts 8:26-27 NKJVS)

Off the beaten path, led by heaven’s directive and there you have it…an encounter that changed a life. What comes next is even better….

Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea. (Acts 8:39-40 NKJVS)

Shifted in time and space…..reality? Yes for some people. It has not happened to me….yet….but this is reality for some of my friends, who by the way are 80 year old grandmas living on farms in Oklahoma, raised Baptist and touched by Holy Spirit. Adventure. Journey.

There is so much more – read Scripture. Christianity – alive, living, moving, flowing…….I was saved at 35 and when I saw Jesus, my life was never the same. I voraciously studied Scripture. I also hungered for what I realized was available to me – a supernatural life. I have it. Testimonies abound. And more are coming. Journey today. Expect Jesus to be real in your life, living and moving through your life.

Mix It Up

Color PaletteToday, try a new way!
Do one thing different!

Take a new path – turn right instead of left.
Don’t let life evolve into mundane moments so that you find yourself at some point wondering if you really lived at all.

Jesus Christ is creatively calling, wooing, drawing many to His creative expression – that which has been placed in your heart by Him alone. Yet so many along the way have lost the direction in the midst of the journey. They seem to know a way formed through cultural templates, unending information and the call of the world. Yet they have lost THE way – the person of Christ.

Color SwirlingThere are many creative expressions – Christ in you, the hope of glory. The way you move, unlike anyone else. The way you live, unlike anyone else.

In Christ there is a divine unity with eternity – on earth as it is in heaven – your life, lived in the power of Holy Spirit, gazing upon His beauty and reflecting His glory in the earth realm now. Formed in Christ, transformed in His glory for such a time as this.

Who ever told you that being different was unacceptable? Those who bully, who criticize, who push and pull on you on all sides, trying to form you into their image – that is unacceptable. You are formed in Christ, move in Christ, live in Christ and in Him there are no two alike – all so different, so creative.  Perhaps it is a day just to hear this and to let this become something you know, something so simple – be you. Don’t turn this into a cliche. Live you. Move you. Be you. In Christ. In Christ glory abounds and expression is unlimited.

Color Swirl 2Jesus is the way, the way for you. In His way, in His life, there is truth. Along the way, as the fog clears, truth forms clarity of thought and expression and the you that is in Christ, suddenly becomes evident and shining and full of the light of His glory.

Now you can see….Him. In Him all else seems to become clear.

In the way, in Him, the truth of life unfolds in glorious diversity, color, sound, light and glory. You are His expression on earth….right now. Eternally seated in heavenly places but placed in time, right now.

Haven’t you actually longed for life to begin? To get past the stuff that binds you to pain, to worry, to anxiety, to conformity, to lack…..

GlassesLive!

Choose life in Christ.

Jesus and the Father are one. Once you see Jesus you see and come to know the Father. Holy Spirit – don’t forget the Holy Spirit. He mixes it up in response to your desire, your passion for life.

You want more…..you have more…..you are in Christ. The truth unveils and reveals the way. Just believe and just receive.
