Deep Currents of Revelation – Holy Spirit Flow!

Adventure AwaitsHoly Spirit draws us into deep currents of revelation.

But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won’t draw attention to himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen and, indeed, out of all that I have done and said. 14 He will honor me; he will take from me and deliver it to you. 15 Everything the Father has is also mine. That is why I’ve said, ‘He takes from me and delivers to you. (John 16:13-15 Message)

Truth swirls, moves, and flows beneath the surface of the deep waters. To apprehend it, you must dive down. We can’t be content with surface revelation. Go deep – into Christ.

In these initial posts on deep waters, I desire to awaken a faith-filled imagination within each of you. Images, dreams, pictures to see with spiritual eyes and to hear with spiritual ears.

This is an inward journey that brings about a deep transformation and outward life flow. This brings us back to the living well, the bread of life, the light of the world, the resurrection and the life – Jesus Christ. This is necessary, absolutely essential for Christians to flow in kingdom power and anointing in Christ. The Father invests His life in the Son. They are one and in unity in eternal love with Holy Spirit. Christ is in me, a river flowing out of my life. To know Christ is to know life. We are to be life, grace, glory, revelation, power carriers to the world at large. Our world – where we live, move and have our being in Him.

AwakeI want to awaken you – press beyond the boundaries and anchored realities that currently dictate your life and believe that Jesus IS who He says He IS – the way, the truth and the life. Rise up! You are already there in heavenly places.

I want to awaken creative flow in your life to imagine with the eyes of faith that you are in Christ, right now.

The deep waters – a journey out is a journey in. Christ in you, in me.

I will focus on words of Spirit and life, not always easily understood and definitely enigmatic at times. That’s a good thing. Jesus HImself did that through prophetic acts and lots of stories. He will lead me now and in the days ahead to BE in Christ creatively expressing His being through this blog. I love the journey.

Prophesy From the Depths of Christ in You

Sound Waves From MouthWords that are prophetically sounding out in the shallow waters travel quickly and often penetrate the individual in the emotions, whereby they quickly react to the word but it does not go deep. Words that are prophetically sounding out in the deep waters travel slowly down, down, down into the spirit where truth impacts and causes inner transformation of the individual. The deep waters – that’s our focus. Here’s the first post in this journey – Prophets in the Deep.

Here’s a bit of science? In the natural, sound travels faster in water than air because the atoms are closer together so it can jump from atom to atom quicker. The distance that sound waves travel through water is dependent on ocean temperature and pressure. The speed of sound decreases with increasing depth. At some point, they reach the bottom and the speed of sound increases and the waves refract back up.

Spiritually speaking, prophetic words spoken in the shallows travel fast. Prophetic words in the deep travel much slower until they reach a point of deep contact within an individual and then are refracted back up. Those words resounding in the depths of a person impact at a much greater level but they take time to meditate on in times of intimacy with the Lord.

Ladder to skyIt’s a great analogy for us who are called to speak through prophetic call on our lives. We desire to see life change not just a constant stream of words going out. It’s important to sound out from the deep, to raise up a mature prophetic people. Remember, the deep is our union with and in Christ Jesus. We speak from that depth of our living, moving and having our being in Christ to those whom God sends to us – words of spirit, life, and truth.

But, look around. There are not many people out here with us but there should be. What should that tell us? It’s time for the prophetic to rise up and mature. In our maturity, we speak out to others from our abiding place of union in Christ. This imparts words of the spirit to change people from within the depths of their being.

I am tired and weary of hearing the same remix of words over and over and over. I looked online to see how prophetic words have evolved over the past few years. Well, they really haven’t. The same things were being said one year ago, two years ago that are being said today. God is looking for quality and depth today. This is a sound of maturity flowing from within a prophetic community.

It seems that the current stream of prophetic words keep many anchored to the shallow waters rather than calling them out deeper. Why? There could be a lot of various reasons. Many seem to want to make a name for themselves and the quickest way to do that is to post a prophetic word that promises everything but the kitchen sink, capturing the emotions but doing little in the way of Holy Spirit. Others want to play it safe to keep the people dependent on their word or ministry, not Jesus, the living Word. There are a lot of reasons but anything that takes our focus off of Christ is idolatry.

Jesus was a man of enigma, mystery and truth. He spoke to the spirit not the mind of the individual. He did not appeal to the emotions. He spoke within the resonance of heaven’s directional call. As the words sounded out, He called a people into deep union with Him. He did not aim for shallow understanding but inner transformation. He spoke from His own union with the Father. Without a revelation of our union in Christ, we speak from the shallows, not the depths of our being. There are no short cuts to this. It is about intimacy with Christ.

I and My Father are one. (John 10:30 NKJV)

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63 NKJV)

Prophetic Soundings – Deep Deep Water

flowing blue waterIn my vision, I saw prophets in deep water, resting in its movements, not treading water or trying to resist the continual flow. These men and women knew God Himself brought them out to the deep. Ridiculed, persecuted, and many times labeled rebellious because they would not follow prophetic protocol laid down by the current trend of prophetic networks, they flowed out to the deep, guided by the hand of God. These prophets obeyed, risking rejection, facing loneliness and most of the time being misunderstood, labeled independent or not wanting to submit to the proper authority. Over time, humility worked its way deep within the heart of the prophet. Silence permeated their lives because God’s hand restrained them from speaking or even justifying why they found themselves alone in deep waters.

“You are mine!” says the Lord.

It was a time of diving into the depths of the ocean. Where else was there to go? With no land around, there was nowhere else to go but down, down, down into the depth of His being. Flowing within the currents of the Lord’s voice, it was a time of being set apart.

After a considerable length of time, words began to form close to the surface of the prophet’s life and one by one, many began to speak. Deep words of the reality of Christ Jesus, being in Christ. This message flowed from substance, flowed from transformation within the prophet’s being. This message is one that is released in the deep waters. To hear it, one must choose to come out into the deep, away from the shore. These are words of transformation engaging with the spirit of the listener. These are words of Spirit, life and truth. These are words of Christ, being in Christ flowing out in creative expression through the prophets of the deep that are learning to live, move and have their being in the person of Christ.

“I am yours and you are mine!”

I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine (Song of Songs 6:3 NKJV)

Wait, what is this that I see now? I look back towards the shoreline and see so many people splashing in the waves. From a distance, they seem to like the excitement of it all, lots of shouting, declarations and laughter. Lots of noise.

Visual representation of a soundwaveI listen closely and suddenly through the noise, I can make out distinct words like revival, breakthrough, acceleration, and so much more. Lots of prophetic catch words and phrases that sound like a remix of what has been said over and over through the years. Yet, it seems that the people really like it.

“I’ve heard it all before.”

The same promises, and the same sound for years on end. They sound out and because it’s so shallow at the shore, the sounds hit the bottom and rise up quickly, appealing to the soul and the emotions to those content to dwell at the shoreline. Individual lives, ministries, and churches rest in the shallows, hearing the sound of the shallow waters. These words seem to ebb and flow like the tide – going in, going out. I have heard these same words being spoken year after year after year.

For Christians to mature, we must respond to a sound declared from the deep. And that requires leaving the safety of the shore to listen and venture out by the hand of God.

SpeakingI will speak from the deep to the substance of Christ within people. I will speak to the spirit within a person. Words of truth and life – something that the church at large seems unable to receive or understand in its current state, where preaching to emotion and need transcends everything else.

Where do you find yourself today and in what kind of spiritual atmosphere? Something to think about. There is so much to say about this that I will just keep writing. I know some of you are thinking some deep thoughts so please feel free to comment. This path that I am now in while writing this is long and expansive. Lots to say. Our journey in Christ in the deep waters. Hear what I am saying by the Spirit okay? Find yourself in these posts.

My Words – Who I Am Will Always Come Out One Way Or Another

Out of the overflow or abundance of my heart, my mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45)

At some point, what goes in will come out.

When God began to deal with and heal anger in my life, He gave me free reign to say what I wanted anytime I wanted to. Since I didn’t respect those small inner promptings of Holy Spirit to watch my tongue, God basically said, “Go for it.” Then He stood back and watched as I spoke with passion (that’s what I called it). God called it anger, frustration, pain and control.

shhThere were more times than I care to remember when people close to me felt the sting of my words. Looking back, I saw it in their eyes as my verbal assault hit their hearts. I saw them reel back in hurt. My words formed a battlefield of provocation and destruction, warlike in their nature. Fighting the good fight of “No compromise” or being a “Defender of Truth”, I was a master at wounding others rather than face my own pain. I was in a war.

What war?

The war going on in my own soul – the constant battle trying to hold on to my broken life through the only weapon I had – my words.

Who was I at war with?

Myself. The overflow of my own pain formed its strategy; speaking words that hurt instead of heal. Let me say this again. God gave me total freedom to say what I wanted to say. It seemed to be the only way He could capture my attention.

As I lost friends and dismantled ministry opportunities, my eyes soon opened to actually see what I was doing. Now what?

God knows what is written in my book of destiny in heaven, my scroll.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them
(Psalms 139:15-16 NKJVS)

There was a definite disconnect inside of me between who God made me to be and how I lived in my pain. Not knowing His love and His kindness toward me, I constantly lived in the tension of confusion and loneliness, always trying to prove myself with words that flowed in anger as a defense mechanism against facing myself. This tension became a breeding ground of guilt, shame and regret. Always regret at lost time, lost friendships and who knows what else?

But, God knows. He always knows.

He knows I am called to speak words of spirit, truth and life. Out of the overflow of my heart, my mouth speaks. There’s that disconnect again. I am called to bring out powerful words of healing and restoration, words that challenge and confront. Instead I did just the opposite on a daily basis. I say daily basis because in the process of healing I actually was sick of hearing my own self-talk.

How many times did I leave situations where I wanted to kick myself for being so outrageously pompous and uncaring?

But, God knows. He always knows.

And, He is in the business of healing. Because He loves us. And He wants us to flow in life in His purpose. There are people waiting to hear our words, waiting to be healed and waiting to hear the love of Christ. There are many needing to be challenged with words of hope. Others need confrontational love to redirect them out of their addictions and misplaced passions with a strong word from a strong heart.

So where does it all start? With me. With you. Out of the overflow of my heart, my mouth speaks. Healing to my heart produces healing in my words. Words that are anointed with passion, wisdom and grace.

Where is all this going today? I remember in a blog post long ago, I said that these blogs would not always end with a firm grasp on conclusion but would rather challenge and grow in process so that you could read and see how your life may parallel some of these thoughts.

I am daily mediating on sound, voice, frequency, wavelength…………..and this is just the start of this particular blog journey. More coming.

Whirlwinds of Glory

Tunnel_Of_LoveFor those ready to receive this, I want to put this out there. This vision is for those expecting to move into an abounding revelation and experience of God’s glory.

While in worship, I saw a woman wrapped in a swirling white whirlwind. The whirlwind was delicate, filmy, and translucent. As the whirlwind moved in a circular motion, there were living colors shooting out from the whirlwind. Reds, deep pinks, purples, orange and blue. These colors seemed to have a life of their own as they flowed out in all directions from the movement of the whirlwind.

What does one do with this vision? I can tell you what not to do with this. Don’t try to quickly understand it, package it and file it away on some shelf of our lives where there is order and balance. Don’t say “Oh that’s sweet!” or “What a great vision!”

Gaze upon it. Wait upon it to unfold in the power of Holy Spirit. Hold it ever so close to your heart knowing that what was seen will be revealed in its time. This is not a vision to comprehend through natural eyes but through eyes that gaze upon Christ so that His glory may be revealed in and through us.

Does your heart bear witness of this vision? Then take it and wait upon its unfolding revelation to your own life. I take it for my life and the outflow of the ministry of Rivers of Eden. That which is birthed in heavenly places manifests on the earth – thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. There is a great weight of glory that will flow through people that flow in  the creativity of Jesus Christ in His glory so that atmospheres change, lives are healed and people are set free.

It is a vision that celebrates ministers of glory, those willing to wait on God and to experience a divine shift in the spiritual atmosphere during any gathering where heaven manifests on earth. It is time to BE spiritual everyone. Why? Because we are spiritual. We are eternal beings in Christ here and now, living in the world but not of the world.

Heart on Fire for GodThe indwelling of the Spirit of Christ in us quickens us in many different ways to experience shifts in faith to believe and then to see His glory revealed in greater measure flowing through our lives. (Faith to faith, glory to glory.) This whirlwind is a shift in how we see, experience and interpret the spiritual atmosphere as God ushers in His glory through our lives. There is creativity in a glory atmosphere that cannot be controlled to fit into man’s understanding and wisdom.

This post? Well it speaks in a spiritual language to those who have ears to hear by and in the Spirit. Holy Spirit searches out the deep things of God and reveals them to us and through us. Those with ears to hear can take this vision and run with it, wait on it and see how it touches your life. These are words of spirit and life, not so much a teaching or a prophecy but words that can reach in and touch your heart. Are you in the whirlwind?
